The Role As Finance Manager
You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and regulatory compliance.
You will also take a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting commercial decision-making.
- Your key Responsibilities as Finance Manager
- Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Oversee monthly payroll and related statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage VAT, pensions and other financial compliance requirements.
- Oversee supplier payments, cash flow and banking activities.
- Prepare and review month-end accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
- Produce regular financial reports and present key findings to senior leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
- Monitor customer accounts, credit limits and outstanding debts.
- Oversee billing, invoicing and credit control processes.
- Ensure robust financial controls and processes are maintained across the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and financial efficiency.
- Lead, support and develop the finance team, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
About You
We are looking for a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and making a genuine contribution to a growing business.
You will ideally have
- Strong experience in a financial management or senior finance position.
- Excellent knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Good understanding of financial compliance, legislation and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn financial data into meaningful insights.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification is highly desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered.
