HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking Operations, Harlow
Rapier Employment is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for full‑time trunking work based in Harlow. The role offers competitive pay and immediate starts.
Pay and Working Hours
Pay Rates
£22.00 per hour (days) – £25.00 per hour (nights) on a PAYE basis. Holiday pay is accrued separately.
Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours’ pay per shift.
- Shift Information
- Day shifts: start between 04:00 and 11:00, trunking to Stoke.
- Night shifts: start between 15:00 and 17:00, trunking to Scunthorpe.
- Shift lengths: 9–13 hours.
- Role Responsibilities
- Complete depot‑to‑depot trunking deliveries.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Complete all transport paperwork accurately.
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Comply with all Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Road Transport regulations.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
- Professional, reliable, and safety‑focused approach.
- Good communication and time‑management skills.
- Flexibility to work the required shift pattern.
