Overview
Teach South seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a school‑based preschool in Hailsham.
The role is full‑time, £90‑£100 daily, starting 2nd September.
Working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Role
As our Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will support planning, delivery and assessment of engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for children aged 2–4 years.
- Deliver and lead small group and whole‑class activities when required.
- Collaborate with the Preschool Leader, teachers and SEND team to support individual learning and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress.
- Promote wellbeing, independence and confidence through play‑based learning.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
Qualifications
- Recognised HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working within an Early Years or Preschool setting.
- Sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.
