Job Overview

Manpower UK is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy seafood processing facility in Grimsby.

The role involves preparing and processing fish products to customer specifications, including filleting, trimming, grading, packing and labeling.

Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety is essential, alongside performing quality checks throughout production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and processing fish products to customer specifications.
  • Filleting, trimming, grading, packing and labeling fish products.
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety at all times.
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Cleaning and maintaining workstations, tools and equipment.
  • Supporting the wider production team to meet daily production targets.
  • Working efficiently in a chilled production environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or seafood processing environment is desirable.
  • Experience within a production or factory environment is advantageous.

Skills & Attributes

  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a chilled, fast‑paced production environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Transportation

Own transport is necessary as there are no public transport links to the Estate Roads site.
