Manpower UK seeks a temporary Quality Technician for its global FMCG client, The Magnum Ice Cream Company, at the Barnwood site in Gloucester. This three-month contract, with possible extension, involves 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, and pays up to £28,800 per annum pro rata.
Supporting the busy quality team, duties centre on:
- Retention sample management
- System administration
- Internal audits

Key Accountabilities
- Retention Sample Management: Maintain and organize retention samples in accordance with company procedures. Ensure accurate labelling, storage, and traceability of samples. Monitor sample retention periods and coordinate disposal activities when required. Support investigations and customer inquiries through sample retrieval and assessment.
- Quality Systems Administration: Maintain and update quality documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS). Support document control activities, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and records remain current and compliant. Assist in the management and tracking of quality actions and records.
- TrackIT System Management: Create, update, and maintain records within the TrackIT system. Monitor quality-related actions, ensuring timely completion and follow-up. Generate reports and support data analysis as required.
- New Product Development (NPD) Quality Support: Provide quality-related updates and support to NPD projects. Participate in project meetings and track quality deliverables. Assist with product validations, documentation reviews, and risk assessments.
- Internal Audits: Support the planning and execution of internal quality audits. Document audit findings and assist in tracking corrective actions. Follow up on audit actions to ensure timely closure.
- General Quality Support: Assist with investigations, non-conformance management, and CAPA activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality department. Maintain accurate quality records and reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
- Strong technical background and understanding of food safety management requirements.
- Experience in a Quality, Manufacturing, Laboratory, or Technical Administration environment.
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and document control processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
