Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Senior Engineer Auxiliaries to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £40.64 per hour Umbrella (inside IR35).

The Role

Within the role of Senior Engineer Auxiliaries you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need.
  • Carrying out relatively complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and preparing reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.
  • Being familiar with the design of auxiliary systems and practised in delivering solutions that meet customer requirements in all phases of the shipbuilding cycle.

You

  • Experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
  • Experience and expertise in Marine Engineering Systems.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of Naval ships.
  • Knowledge and experience of shipbuilding, Operations processes and modern build strategies.

In addition, any experience of Auxiliary system design knowledge in the following disciplines and specialising in at least one of:

  • Fluid system design including flow modelling.
  • Flow calculations, use of pipes and valves.
  • Hydraulics and compressed gas systems.
  • Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL).
  • Water Systems, including Chilled Water.
