A Geography Teacher is needed for a temporary supply role at an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham starting September 2026.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, sustainability, and global development. They will encourage students to think critically about the world around them while preparing them for success in their GCSE Geography studies. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high‑quality lessons, assessing student progress, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where all learners are supported and challenged. Working alongside an experienced Humanities department, the teacher will contribute to raising standards and inspiring students to develop a lifelong interest in geography.

Candidate

  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering GCSE Geography content
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a passion for Geography and inspiring young people to understand the world around them
