This permanent, full-time position suits an experienced Forklift Truck Service Engineer seeking work across Norwich and East Anglia. Based partly in the workshop and partly in the field, the successful candidate will service, repair and maintain electric, LPG and diesel forklift trucks for customers throughout the region.
Applicants should be confident diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out routine servicing, and working independently on customer sites. The salary is £30,000 to £35,000, accompanied by a company van, pension, annual leave and on-site parking.

Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on forklift trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify components as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and compliance documentation for each piece of equipment serviced.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and advising clients on maintenance best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical repair of heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, equipment repair, and troubleshooting machinery.
- Experience working with electrical systems including wiring diagrams.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications in forklift operation or equipment repair are preferred but not mandatory; however, hands-on experience is essential.
