FLT (Shifts) – Project Driver
We are recruiting an FLT Counterbalance Driver to work temporary, full‑time shifts at our automotive plastics site in Dudley.
The role involves operating FLT counterbalance trucks and transporting goods within the warehouse, storage areas and production lines.
Responsibilities
- Operate FLT counterbalance trucks safely following site procedures.
- Load and unload raw material and finished plastic component deliveries.
- Transport materials between warehouse, storage and production lines.
- Ensure production lines are consistently stocked to avoid downtime.
- Stack and store pallets in designated locations, including racking systems.
- Perform daily FLT checks and report defects.
- Assist with goods‑in and goods‑out processes, checking deliveries against paperwork.
- Use scanners or basic systems to track stock movements (if applicable).
- Support stock control, including pallet counts and location checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Work to targets and deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid, in‑date FLT Counterbalance licence (essential).
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Reliable, hardworking and safety‑conscious.
- Ability to work rotating double day shifts.
- Hours of Work (Rotating Double Days)
- Early shifts – Monday to Thursday: 5:40am – 1:50pm; Friday: 5:40am – 11:30am.
- Late shifts – Monday to Thursday: 1:40pm – 9:50pm; Friday: 11:20am – 5:10pm.
- Pay Rates
£12.71 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £14.73 per hour thereafter.
