FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative (Days)
Location: Shipley, BD17 – Salary: £27,300 per annum + overtime paid after 37.5 hours.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (8:00am to 4:00pm during training). Overtime applies after 37.5 hours weekly. Start date: ASAP.
Role
The FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative will ensure efficient movement of stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
A varied position combining forklift driving responsibilities with general warehouse duties in a fast‑paced but friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks to move materials and products around the site (Counterbalance and Reach).
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Build pallets and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders.
- Move stock between departments and storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Carry out daily equipment and forklift checks, reporting any defects.
- Assist with stock control and inventory processes.
- Support with general warehouse duties as required.
About You
- A valid Counterbalance and Reach FLT licence.
- Previous experience in a warehouse and forklift driving position.
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Basic PC skills and confidence using stock control or warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
