Berkeley Scott seeks School Catering Assistants - Temp - Exeter to support busy school kitchens across the city and nearby areas, including primary, secondary and academy sites. These temporary, term-time roles suit reliable people who enjoy working within school catering. Duties include assisting with food preparation, serving meals to pupils, clearing tables and keeping work areas clean and tidy. Daytime shifts are offered, with weekly pay, holiday pay accrued and ongoing assignments available. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain a current Enhanced DBS certificate. Prior kitchen experience helps, though a strong work ethic, teamwork and food hygiene awareness matter most. We are currently recruiting Temporary Catering Assistants to join busy school catering teams around Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone reliable, hardworking, and passionate about working within school catering environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation
- Serving meals to students and staff
- Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene
- Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For
- Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and organised approach
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
