About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Office Administrator to support the smooth running of a busy Consultancy office based on the outskirts of Exeter close to good transport links.
The role plays a key part in maintaining efficient day‑to‑day administration and ensuring excellent support across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for the office by welcoming visitors, managing incoming calls and directing enquiries.
- Formatting and checking documents such as tenders and assembling packs, certificates of payment, and contract documents.
- Office management tasks, including ordering stationery and fleet car management.
- Booking meetings, events and site visits.
- Directing and answering phone queries.
- Logging invoices and issuing contract documents.
- Preparing timesheet reports on a monthly and weekly basis.
- Writing and issuing fee proposals and bid documents.
- Creating and issuing VAT receipts and handling petty cash.
- Providing general administrative support to project teams and other departments.
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within the construction/consultancy sector but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of using AI tools.
