The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an Event Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of community, corporate, and civic events across the borough.
Based in Harrow, this temporary role pays £18.22 per hour and requires a shift pattern including evenings and weekends on a rota.
Key responsibilities involve coordinating events from concept to completion, liaising with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and community groups, and managing logistics.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of events from concept through to completion.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, community groups, and external stakeholders.
- Manage event schedules, logistics, venue bookings, and supplier arrangements.
- Ensure events are delivered safely and in line with council policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Support the preparation and management of event budgets.
- Coordinate event marketing and communications activities where required.
- Attend events and provide on-site support to ensure smooth delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate event success, producing post‑event reports and recommendations.
About You
- Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or project support.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with a variety of internal and external partners.
- Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety considerations within events (desirable).
