This Team Lead / Principal Civil Engineer – Epsom role with RGB Network offers a full‑time, hybrid working pattern in Epsom.
The salary ranges from £60,000 to £80,000, plus bonus and benefits.
You will join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, working closely with the Head of Civils to shape the team’s future and deliver technically challenging projects across residential, commercial, industrial, energy and infrastructure sectors for both private and public clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Civil Engineers and Technicians.
- Manage the delivery of multiple highways and drainage projects from concept through to construction.
- Produce and review technical designs, calculations, reports and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and design reviews across the team.
- Liaise directly with clients, local authorities, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and resource allocation.
- Support fee proposals, project planning and business development.
- Assist with recruitment, team development and succession planning.
- Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and the highest technical standards.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (ICE) or working towards Chartership.
- Strong consultancy background delivering development infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience in highways and drainage design.
- Proficient in Civil 3D and drainage software such as Info Drainage or Micro Drainage.
- Good working knowledge of Section 38, Section 278, Section 104 and Su DS.
- Previous experience mentoring engineers and leading project teams.
- Confident client‑facing with strong communication and commercial awareness.
