Electrical Project Engineer - Energy & Power
Location: Lancashire
I'm working on a confidential opportunity with an established technology business operating across the energy and power sector.
The company is involved in the delivery of complex electrical systems for applications including battery energy storage, renewable generation, distributed energy and microgrid projects.
I'm looking for an Electrical Project Engineer or Project Manager who is comfortable taking responsibility for projects from early concept and design through procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
The role is likely to suit someone with experience in areas such as:
- Electrical project engineering or project management
- LV and/or MV electrical systems
- Electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
- Switchgear, protection and distribution equipment
- Electrical design and equipment specification
- Installation and site coordination
- FAT, SAT and commissioning
- Grid connection and DNO interfaces
- Renewable generation or distributed power
- Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Microgrids or hybrid power systems
- Managing contractors, suppliers and customers
The important part is having delivered technically complex electrical projects through to site completion. BESS experience would be useful, but strong candidates from power generation, utilities, renewables, industrial electrical systems or similar environments would also be of interest.
This is a hands-on position with a good mix of engineering, project delivery and customer interaction.
If you have a strong electrical background and are open to a confidential conversation, please get in touch.
