Electrical Design Engineer - Energy & Power
Location: Lancashire
I'm currently speaking with Electrical Design Engineers about a confidential opportunity with a growing business working across energy storage, power systems and renewable energy.
This is a practical engineering role rather than purely a drawing-office position. The work covers the design and development of electrical systems used in larger-scale energy and power applications.
A good background would include some of the following:
- Electrical system and power distribution design
- LV and/or MV systems
- AC and DC electrical systems
- Single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
- Cable sizing and electrical calculations
- Switchgear and protection
- Equipment selection and specification
- AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar electrical design tools
- Power conversion equipment, inverters or PCS
- Battery storage or renewable energy systems
- Grid-connected electrical systems
Experience with BESS, renewable generation, UPS, power electronics, industrial power or other complex electrical systems would be particularly relevant.
