Overview

This permanent position for an Electronic Manufacturing Technician is based in Stroud. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Test, fault find, and repair electrical systems and components of rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, specialised measurement instruments, and downhole rechargeable batteries.
  • Work within engineering and quality-focused manufacturing teams alongside mechanical technicians and supervisors.
  • Integrate and test electrical and electromechanical tools.
  • Maintain and repair the test equipment used for these processes.
  • Produce deliverable items from full drawing packs with minimal additional help, adhering to IPC standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience testing low and high voltage systems.
  • Basic soldering, crimping, assembly, and fault finding at both system and component levels.
  • Familiarity with multimeter, oscilloscope, low voltage power supplies, and high voltage power supplies up to 400 VDC.
  • Education in Electrical or Electronic engineering (e. g., ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 2).
  • Ability to work within design constraints.
