Mechanical Contracts Manager Devon | Exeter / Plymouth Projects £65,000 - £75,000 + Package A well-established and growing Mand E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its South West team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong pipeline of work across the Defence, Education and Healthcare sectors.

Projects typically range from £2m+ in value, and you will be responsible for either leading a major project or overseeing a number of smaller schemes concurrently.

The Role You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from contract award through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include: Managing projects from contract award through to commissioning and handover.

Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

Procurement of materials, plant and subcontract packages.

Programme management and progress monitoring.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Managing commercial and operational performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and contractual requirements.

Working closely with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Delivering projects under JCT and Design and Build contracts.

About You We are keen to speak with experienced Mechanical Contracts Managers or ambitious Mechanical Project Managers looking to step into a Contracts Manager position.

You will have: A strong mechanical engineering background with proven project delivery experience.

Experience delivering Mand E or mechanical projects valued at £2m+.

Previous experience within Defence, Education, Healthcare or similar commercial sectors.

Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Strong programme management, procurement and coordination experience.

Good understanding of JCT and Design and Build contracts.

Strong IT skills and a proactive, forward-thinking approach.

SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS cards in date.

The ability to lead teams and drive projects through to successful completion.
