Essential skillset:
- Electrical design experience with fire alarm and detection systems
- Strong AutoCAD experience (Revit/BIM knowledge advantageous)
- Good understanding of BS 5839 and UK fire safety regulations
- Experience producing electrical schematics, layouts and installation drawings
- Ability to carry out on-site surveys and design verification
- Experience coordinating designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience participating in client design reviews and resolving technical queries
- Ability to produce project documentation including specifications, reports and design deliverables
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience on large industrial or manufacturing projects
- BIM coordination and digital design workflows
- Knowledge of wider British Standards and fire engineering principles
- Experience supporting system testing, validation and commissioning activities
