A major international engineering contractor is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a large-scale data centre project in Denmark. This is a hands-on commissioning role for someone who wants to be on site, close to the systems and involved in taking complex mechanical infrastructure from installation through testing, commissioning and handover. With 5+ years of secured project work, this is a genuine long-term opportunity rather than a short-term project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Review IFC drawings, specifications and technical submittals
- Support commissioning plans, methodologies and sequencing
- Coordinate with package engineers, planners, vendors and site teams
- Prepare and review checklists, scripts and test packs
- Witness functional testing and verify system performance
- Lead/support walkdowns, tag walks and inspections
- Track commissioning progress, snags and close-out
- Support system handover, O&M documentation and client training
- Identify issues early and escalate commissioning risks
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical commissioning experience within complex construction projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, LTHW, ventilation and pressurisation systems
- Understanding of commissioning processes, sequencing and system interfaces
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines
- A practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Data centre experience is a major advantage, but strong mechanical commissioning experience from other mission-critical or technically complex environments will be considered.
