Location: Crowborough, East Sussex Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £25,185–£26,402 per annum (FTE) – actual salary approximately £22,121 based on Grade4, Point9.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and engagement.
  • Support students in the classroom and during other school activities.
  • Help implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes for every pupil.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Experience working with children or young people – desirable but not essential.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
