Position
SEMH Teaching Assistant β SEN School.
Full-time contract.
Start: September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in classroom and through targeted interventions.
- Build positive relationships that help students develop confidence, resilience and independence.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using consistent support strategies.
- Work closely with teaching staff, therapists and pastoral teams to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting children or young people is desirable, but not essential.
- Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine interest in working within a specialist SEN environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
