Class 1 Driver position based in Coventry, operating from Baginton. Full‑time role with Rapier Employment, offering an annual salary of £40,000‑£54,600. The job involves parcel trunking and collection routes without hand‑ball work.

Pay & Hours

• Flexible schedules – full weeks and ad‑hoc shifts.
• Average shift length: 10‑12 hours.
• Shift rates:
• AM shift (11:00–15:00) – £17.50‑£17.75
• Week‑night shift – £17.75‑£18.50
• Saturday & Sunday – £17.50‑£18.75
• Rates increase after 12 weeks of service.
• Minimum 8 paid hours.
• Holiday pay accrues every 5 days worked.

Responsibilities

• Inbound collection and outbound trunking, primarily drop‑and‑swap, with support for load and unload as required.
• Trunking services between depots, ensuring safe, secure, and timely transportation of parcels, including high‑value goods.
• Collect consignments from established customers, including full trailer loads and drop‑and‑swap operations.
• Complete thorough pre‑use and post‑use vehicle checks in line with company and legal requirements.
• Comply fully with all road traffic legislation, industry regulations, and company health‑and‑safety standards.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with transport, dispatch, and logistics teams to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) driving licence with a minimum of 3 months experience.
