Rapier Employment is seeking Counterbalance FLT drivers for long‑term agency work at a Castle Bromwich logistics site in Birmingham. This full‑time role involves 40 hours per week, operating long forks to load and unload vehicles, check stock, and tag items.

Shift Patterns and Pay

  • Days: 06:00‑14:00 – £15.02 per hour
  • Afternoons: 14:00‑22:00 – £16.28 per hour
  • Nights: 22:00‑06:00 – £18.72 per hour

Optional overtime may be offered based on site needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Counterbalance FLT (long forks) safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload vehicles and trailers using long forks
  • Check, tag, and process items
  • Support warehouse operations when not required to be on the forks
  • Follow all site health & safety procedures
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as required (this is not a 100% forklift role)

Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence, taken or refreshed within the last 3 years, accredited by RTITB, AITT, ABA, or ITSSAR
  • Proven long‑fork experience
  • Good communication and attention to detail
  • No unspent convictions
  • Must complete a pre‑employment interview
  • Must pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Reliable, punctual, able to work the chosen shift consistently
  • Willing to carry out warehouse duties when not on the FLT
