About the role
The Community Coordinator (Part Time) will support rural communities in identifying opportunities, building local partnerships, and creating lasting change.
This permanent position offers a salary of £32,000–£34,000 per annum pro rata.
Key responsibilities
- Bring people together to turn ideas into action and create lasting change.
- Coordinate activities and help groups build the confidence, skills, and structures needed to make a real impact.
- Facilitate engagement between residents, community groups, businesses, and public sector partners.
- Lead community events, build stakeholder relationships, support project delivery, and communicate progress to a wide range of audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in community engagement, development, stakeholder management, or project coordination.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence in working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good IT and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel within rural communities and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Experience with community‑led projects, co‑production, or participatory approaches, and knowledge of rural development, sustainability, or regeneration initiatives (advantageous).
- Fundraising experience is highly beneficial.
- Additional requirements
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
