About the role

The Community Coordinator (Part Time) will support rural communities in identifying opportunities, building local partnerships, and creating lasting change.

This permanent position offers a salary of £32,000–£34,000 per annum pro rata.

Key responsibilities

  • Bring people together to turn ideas into action and create lasting change.
  • Coordinate activities and help groups build the confidence, skills, and structures needed to make a real impact.
  • Facilitate engagement between residents, community groups, businesses, and public sector partners.
  • Lead community events, build stakeholder relationships, support project delivery, and communicate progress to a wide range of audiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community engagement, development, stakeholder management, or project coordination.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence in working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good IT and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel within rural communities and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
  • Experience with community‑led projects, co‑production, or participatory approaches, and knowledge of rural development, sustainability, or regeneration initiatives (advantageous).
  • Fundraising experience is highly beneficial.
  • Additional requirements

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
