Overview
The Community Coordinator position based in Coleford is a permanent role with a salary between £32,000 and £34,000 per annum.
You will empower residents and local organisations to identify opportunities and drive positive change through community-led projects.
This role involves facilitating engagement, coordinating activities, and building partnerships across rural groups, businesses, and public sector bodies.
You will help people develop confidence, skills, and structures to turn ideas into action.
The position requires a proactive, people-focused facilitator with a genuine interest in the local environment.
This is a full-time role with working patterns that include occasional evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities
As Community Coordinator you will
- Bring together residents, community groups, local organisations, businesses and public sector partners to develop and support community-led projects.
- Facilitate engagement and coordinate activities to build the confidence, skills and structures needed to make a real impact.
- Lead community events, build stakeholder relationships, support project delivery and communicate progress to a wide range of audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in community engagement, development, stakeholder management or project coordination.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good IT and reporting skills.
- A willingness to travel within rural communities.
- Experience of community-led projects, co‑production or participatory approaches and knowledge of rural development, sustainability or regeneration initiatives (advantageous).
- Fundraising experience is highly beneficial.
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
