Overview
The Class 2 Driver position in Cambridge, CB4 0DN is a temporary contract offering up to £16 per hour.
Shifts are Monday to Friday from 04:00 to 14:30.
The role involves operating flatbed heavy goods vehicles over 17.5 tonnes, with occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro Ro) work.
Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles over 17.5 tonnes, primarily flatbed.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secured safely.
- Follow all road safety regulations and driver regulations.
- Complete delivery paperwork when required and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Report any faults promptly and maintain professional conduct with customers.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of road safety and driver regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, able to work independently.
- Experience with flatbed or Skip Ro Ro is an advantage but not essential.
- Happy to accept LTD drivers.
