Job Summary
Temporary ongoing positions for experienced Class 1 drivers delivering timber across the UK. Typical schedule includes day, night, or tramping shifts with 4‑6 drops per day.
Shift start times: Day/Tramping – 04:00 to 06:00; Night – 16:00 to 17:00. Monday‑Friday with weekends and bank holidays off.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive modern curtain‑sided vehicles across the UK.
- Ensure goods are securely strapped before journeys.
- Operate in compliance with FORS Gold level safety standards.
- Drive in a safe and professional manner at all times.
- Deliver timber to builders’ merchants (average 4‑6 drops per shift).
- Perform night trunking, typically 1‑2 trailer swaps per shift.
- Tramp for nationwide deliveries with 4 nights out per week.
- Receive night out allowance where applicable.
