A permanent Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager position is available in the City of London, offering £50,000 to £65,000 per annum plus pension and bonus. Working for a multi-disciplinary consultancy, you will oversee high-value projects, with an immediate focus on cladding remediation for large residential buildings, alongside education, healthcare, and commercial schemes.
The role suits an MRICS-qualified professional, either a surveyor keen to develop project leadership or a manager with solid cost control expertise. You will handle full commercial duties, from procurement to final accounts, while coordinating project timelines. This full-time post requires strong communication and technical proficiency.
THE ROLE
My client seeks a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager who is recently MRICS qualified to join them in their office in the City of London area. Projects are generally of high value and there is a particular need currently for people to work on cladding remediation projects for large residential buildings along with other residential, education, healthcare and some commercial projects. You will either be a Quantity Surveyor with an interest in project management or you may be a Project Manager who has a good handle on the cost management side of projects.
THE COMPANY
My client is a long established busy firm of multi-disciplinary consultants with several offices.
THE CANDIDATE
You will either be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor with an interest in Project Management or a Project Manager with some experience of cost management. You must have experience of working with another firm of consultants / PQS. You need to have experience of cost control, contract administration, procurement and tendering along with financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You must be able to do both pre and post contract work. You should have used JCT contracts. You need to be able to do contract administration, organise meetings, take minutes etc. You will ideally be keen to do a mix of quantity surveying and project management. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
My client will offer good prospects for rapid promotion for the right person. Salary is in the region of £50,000 to £65,000 negotiable plus benefits including pension, life assurance, interest free season ticket loan, healthcare cash plan and more.
