A highly regarded regional law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Family Care Solicitor to join its expanding specialist Child Care team.

  • Join a specialist Family Care team advising parents, children, grandparents and wider family members on a broad range of public law children matters.
  • You will manage your own caseload of care proceedings, representing clients throughout the litigation process and providing clear, practical advice during what are often challenging and sensitive circumstances.
  • Advising and representing clients at PLO meetings, pre-proceedings and court hearings, undertaking advocacy where appropriate and assisting clients with Special Guardianship Orders and related applications.
  • Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with approximately 2 years’ PQE or above and experience handling public law Children matters.
  • The successful candidate will have strong advocacy and communication skills, excellent organisational abilities and a compassionate, client focused approach.
  • Experience of Legal Aid work and membership of the Law Society Children Panel would be advantageous but is not essential.
