Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial is seeking a Yard Operative for a full-time, temp-to-perm position based in Cheltenham, paying £13 per hour.
Working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, you will support the daily yard and warehouse operation.
Key duties include accurately picking and packing customer orders, preparing and loading items for collection or delivery, and performing regular manual handling tasks.
This physically active role requires comfort with lifting and organising stock.
Previous experience in a similar yard or warehouse setting is beneficial, though training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders accurately for customer dispatch
- Preparing, organising and loading orders ready for collection and delivery
- Carrying out regular manual handling and lifting duties throughout the day
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Cleaning and washing products and equipment as required
- Inspecting items to ensure they meet quality standards before dispatch
- Organising stock and maintaining storage areas
- Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy yard and warehouse environment
- Carrying out general yard and warehouse duties as required
