About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Key Holder to join our team in Solihull on a full-time, temporary ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, responding to maintenance issues, carrying out minor repairs, and acting as a trusted key holder.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and lock up facilities in line with operational requirements.
- Act as a designated key holder , ensuring buildings are secure at all times.
- Carry out routine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Respond promptly to maintenance calls and repair requests.
- Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
- Liaise with contractors and other service providers as required.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
- Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and operational.
- Report any safeguarding, security, or maintenance issues to management.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or similar role.
- Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.
- Flexible approach to working hours and site requirements.
- Applicants MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
