Berkeley Scott is recruiting a General Assistant for temporary catering assignments in Cambridge, starting in September.
This role supports kitchen teams with food preparation, serving customers, maintaining clean and organised service areas, washing up, and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting kitchen teams with food preparation and basic catering duties
- Serving food and assisting customers where required
- Keeping kitchens and service areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards
- Washing up and helping maintain a smooth‑running operation
- Providing reliable support as a general assistant across a variety of venues
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or as a general assistant is beneficial but not essential
- An Enhanced DBS certificate
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK
- Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work well as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is an advantage, although not essential
