The Gateman / Traffic Marshall is a temporary role on a busy construction site in Cambridge, paying £18 per hour. The role focuses on managing vehicle movements, controlling site access, and ensuring safety for operatives, visitors, and deliveries. Immediate starts are available.
Responsibilities
- Managing the safe movement of vehicles on and around the site.
- Directing deliveries and site traffic.
- Controlling access and egress at the site entrance.
- Monitoring visitors and ensuring site procedures are followed.
- Maintaining a safe working environment for pedestrians and vehicle operators.
- Assisting site management with general site duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid CPCS A73 Traffic Marshal card or NPORS A73 Traffic Marshal card with CSCS logo.
- Previous experience in a Traffic Marshal or Gateman role.
- Strong awareness of site health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a site team.
