Chef Manager – Agency Catering Work (Cambridge & Surrounding Areas)
Berkeley Scott is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead kitchen teams across various school settings in Cambridge and surrounding areas, commencing September. The role involves managing daily kitchen operations, planning nutritious meals, overseeing stock control, ordering, and budgets, while maintaining high‑quality food service standards.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of busy catering kitchens.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver fresh, nutritious, high‑quality meals.
- Lead, motivate and support kitchen teams to deliver excellent service.
- Manage stock, ordering, budgets and food costs.
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, health and safety and allergen regulations.
- Build strong relationships with clients and maintain high catering standards.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar catering management role.
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Two professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different sites.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential.
