Based in Earlestown, this permanent Business Development/Account Manager role focuses on nurturing client relationships across the Northwest, covering Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, and the Lake District. The position involves managing an existing portfolio, reconnecting with past customers, and generating leads from a company database. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, the role is office-based unless visiting clients. With a salary up to £40,000 plus a company car, this position suits a professional who values long-term relationship building over high-pressure sales or commission targets.

  • Location: Northwest England – Manchester, Liverpool, Chester & Lake District
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (100% office based unless travelling)
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + company car benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across the Northwest region.
  • Reactivate lapsed and non-current customers through regular contact and relationship building.
  • Conduct customer visits and meetings throughout Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, the Lake District, and surrounding areas.
  • Work closely with an experienced operational team member who provides technical and industry support.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Produce accurate customer records and updates using company systems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and provide suitable service solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in Business Development, Account Management or Sales.
  • Background within Freight Forwarding, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Industrial Services, Distribution or a similar B2B environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable visiting customers and developing business opportunities throughout the Northwest.
  • Professional and trustworthy individual who can work independently and represent the business positively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
