The Business Development Manager position in Burton upon Trent pays £32,000 per annum plus uncapped commission. It is a permanent, field‑based role focused on new business acquisition across commercial partnerships, advertising, events, sponsorship, and hospitality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Generate new business through outbound calling, networking, referrals, and field‑based activity.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through to close.
- Develop tailored commercial solutions that meet client needs.
- Conduct face‑to‑face meetings, presentations, and venue tours.
- Negotiate and close high‑value deals.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell services.
- Manage key accounts and develop long‑term client relationships.
- Accurately maintain CRM records and sales activity.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets.
- Backgrounds in recruitment, advertising, media, events, property, sponsorship, or business development highly desirable.
- A confident, resilient, and tenacious approach to sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
