Legal Counsel role within the Air Operations team in the Air Sector at a 12‑month contract in Warton or Samlesbury. The position involves providing commercial legal advice across multiple jurisdictions, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with key legal and regulatory requirements, and supporting organisational operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted legal partner to the business, providing practical and commercially focused legal advice to teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, negotiate and finalise contracts with customers and partners, supporting commercial outcomes and business growth.
  • Ensure the organisation remains compliant with health and safety, procurement law, product safety, export control, and ethical business conduct.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage risk and deliver actionable legal solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in a commercial legal environment, providing practical advice that supports business success while managing risk.
  • Solid technical knowledge of relevant areas of law applicable to the aerospace & defence sector.
  • Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and simply to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations preferred.
