ABOUT THE ROLE
As Head of Inspection, you''ll take ownership of the delivery of all inspection activities, ensuring customer commitments, regulatory obligations and quality standards are consistently achieved.
You''ll lead a team of NDT professionals, support certification and compliance activities, work closely with customers across the aerospace sector, and act as a technical authority within the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational management, technical oversight, customer engagement and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all NDT inspection service delivery activities
- Manage team workload, resource planning, leave management and utilisation
- Support personnel competency, training and continuation training programmes
- Undertake and support EN4179 inspection activities
- Perform Responsible Level 3 duties in at least one NDT method
- Support internal, external and customer audits including Nadcap and Part 145 requirements
- Oversee Part 145 maintenance management responsibilities
- Work closely with Quality, Compliance and Health andamp; Safety teams
- Support commercial activity through quotation review, scope definition and costing exercises
- Provide technical support to customers both on-site and remotely
- Contribute to business growth initiatives and industry events
- WHAT WE''RE LOOKING FOR
- EN4179/NAS410 Level 2 or Level 3 certification in one or more NDT methods
- Strong aerospace inspection experience across manufacturing and/or in-service environments
- Experience inspecting metallic and composite structures
- Existing leadership, supervisory or team coordination experience
- Good understanding of aerospace quality and regulatory environments
- Ability to make sound technical and operational decisions
- Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally
