The Manufacturing Technician role is a temporary position based in Birmingham, lasting three months, paying up to £13.53 per hour.
You will support the production and testing of medical devices within a regulated healthcare environment.
The Assignment
This is a 3‑month temporary contract offering the opportunity to work within a highly regulated and innovative environment, supporting the production and testing of products used within the healthcare sector.
- What the Work Involves
- Assisting with the manufacture and testing of medical devices.
- Maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure optimum performance.
- Completing production records, worksheets and documentation accurately.
- Using ERP systems to track work, manage documentation and maintain records.
- Following Health and Safety, Quality and regulatory procedures at all times.
- Supporting production targets and assisting other departments when required.
- Hours, Shifts and Pay
- Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30
- Pay Rate: £13.53 per hour
- Contract Length: 3 Months
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Holiday Pay: Accrued in line with agency regulations
- What We Need From You
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a relevant manufacturing, production or laboratory environment.
- Previous laboratory experience is essential.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Practical understanding of measurements and basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20kg.
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Quality Systems would be advantageous.
- Degree, A Levels or additional laboratory experience would be beneficial.
- Right to work in the UK – documentation will be required prior to start.
