As a Community Coordinator based in Berkeley, you will support a programme enabling rural communities to identify opportunities and create lasting change.
This permanent role offers a salary between £32,000 and £34,000 and requires a confident facilitator who enjoys helping others thrive.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate engagement with residents, local organisations, businesses and public sector partners to develop community‑led projects.
- Coordinate activities and build the confidence and skills within groups to achieve their goals.
- Lead community events, build stakeholder relationships, support project delivery and communicate progress to a wide range of audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in community engagement, development, stakeholder management or project coordination.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of people and organisations.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good IT and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel within rural communities and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience of community‑led projects, co‑production or participatory approaches and knowledge of rural development, sustainability or regeneration initiatives (advantageous).
- Fundraising experience (highly beneficial).
