We're currently looking for a Project Professional to join a Business Change team supporting major projects within the defence sector. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Business Change and Project Management, who can work closely with project delivery teams, SMEs and stakeholders to help implement new ways of working and support wider cultural transformation.

The Role

You'll provide Business Change support throughout the project lifecycle, helping to establish strong foundations from the conceptual phase through to implementation. You'll work closely with project teams to understand their requirements and provide practical support around change management, engagement, training and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Business Change advice during the conceptual phase of projects.
  • Work closely with project delivery teams to understand project detail, challenges and insights.
  • Support the implementation of best-practice change management approaches, including methodologies, templates and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with Training & Communications teams to develop engaging and relevant content.
  • Gather information from project SMEs and translate this into effective engagement materials.
  • Support project teams in following the approved Business Change approach.
  • Help embed and sustain new ways of working and wider cultural transformation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriately tailored Business Change frameworks.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across the project and wider business.

About You

We're looking for someone with Business Change experience within a professional project environment, ideally with a good understanding of Project Management processes, governance and assurance. You'll be a confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and able to gather information and turn it into practical solutions.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Professional experience within Business Change and/or Project Management.
  • Good understanding of project management policies, processes and procedures.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders and project SMEs.
  • Understanding of Business Change and Project Management methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Ability to gather information and support the development of practical solutions.
  • Ability to identify and adopt best practice.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take responsibility for your own performance and development.
  • Understanding of project governance and assurance processes.

Qualifications

Essential: Business Change Practitioner (APMG)

Desirable: APM Chartered Professional qualification. Degree in Project Management or a related discipline.
