About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Print Room Operative & Finishing Machine Operator to join our production team.

This is a hands‑on role supporting printing press operations and operating print finishing equipment used to convert self‑adhesive labels.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the high‑quality standards our customers expect.

You will be responsible for supporting press operators, running finishing machinery, carrying out quality checks, and ensuring production areas remain clean, safe, and well organised.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a growing and supportive business.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support printing press operators with wash-ups, make‑readies, material loading, ink mixing, plate preparation, and general pressroom activities.
  • Work closely with the press team to minimise machine downtime and maximise productivity.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor print finishing and rotary die‑cutting machinery.
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Identify and remove any non‑conforming products during production.
  • Correctly separate and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
  • Pack and label finished products accurately and to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure equipment and work areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Follow all BRC Packaging & Printing Issue 7 standards and company procedures.
  • Be flexible in supporting other departments, including finishing and warehouse operations, to provide holiday and operational cover when required.
  • Work overtime when necessary to meet business demands.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, but not essential.

A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
