The Role

As Assistant Manager, you will act as a shift leader, supervising Staff while taking day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and efficient delivery of food and drink service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, supervising and supporting Staff to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Delivering high-quality food and beverage service to Fellows, Students and guests
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Servery, including stock control and ordering
  • Coordinating service requirements for formal dining, conferences and events
  • Liaising closely with the kitchen and Conference andamp; Events teams
  • Supporting staff rotas, induction and training
  • Ensuring excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH compliance
  • Managing bookings, service details and billing information accurately

The Person

We are looking for a calm, professional and highly organised hospitality professional with supervisory experience in hotels/venues/restaurants/private members clubs Excellent food and beverage service knowledge Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding standards The ability to remain calm, efficient and positive under pressure Excellent communication and team leadership skills Knowledge of food safety, allergens and special dietary requirements Basic IT skills and the ability to manage bookings and till systems Flexibility to work a shift pattern including some evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Salary and Benefits
