We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to join an established engineering business, supporting customers across the region.
The role is ideally suited to someone based along the M5 corridor, particularly around Taunton, as there is plenty of travel involved.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and material-handling equipment at customer sites.
You'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and preventative maintenance and make sure equipment is left safe and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair equipment
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fault-find and rectify mechanical and electrical issues
- Ensure machinery is safe and operational before leaving site
- Liaise directly with customers regarding repairs and additional work
- Maintain tools, spare parts and equipment in your company van
- Complete service reports and job documentation
- Work independently while keeping the service team updated

About You
We're interested in engineers with experience working on forklifts, plant, agricultural machinery, material-handling equipment or similar mobile machinery. You should be:
- Experienced in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
