Berkeley Scott is seeking a Catering Assistant for temporary roles across school contracts in Ascot, along with hospitals, offices and other sites. The position offers flexible shift patterns, immediate starts and weekly pay. This role provides variety through placements at multiple locations in the Windsor and Maidenhead area, and the salary is competitive based on experience and assignment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items.
- Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift.
- Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation.
- Assist with special events and buffets as required.
- Pay rates differ depending on client, experience and role.
- Previous experience in a catering or food service role is essential.
- Use of till and/or computerised stock system is advantageous.
- Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications or willingness to complete them is essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, sometimes challenging environment.
- Team player with the initiative to work independently.
- Driver (preferred but not essential).
- Takes pride in delivering excellent service.
- Enhanced DBS.
