The Air Conditioning Engineer is based in the West Midlands, covering service, maintenance, and breakdowns on commercial HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of mechanical plant equipment with a primary focus on air conditioning units.
- Diagnose faults and carry out routine servicing across multiple client sites.
- Provide service, maintenance, and breakdown support for commercial buildings throughout the region.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualifications in commercial air conditioning.
- Experience working with commercial HVAC systems.
- Full driving licence required, as the role involves travel within the specified region.
Package
- Salary: £42,000–£44,000 per annum
- Door‑to‑door travel; travel paid at a single rate, with over 40 hours (Mon–Fri) paid at time and a half
- VW Transporter van provided (personal use, private mileage chargeable)
- Overtime: Saturday time and a half, Sunday/Bank holidays double time
- Call‑out: 1 in 9 rotas (subject to change), £100 standby, minimum 4 hours paid (door‑to‑door or on‑site)
- 25 days holiday + statutory holidays + birthday day
- Healthcare after probation; salary sacrifice pension
- Annual pay review; fully equipped van (tools, analyser, steps, etc.)
