Job Description
Senior Buyer
12 Month Contract
Glascoed Based (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on site)
47.12 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UKs leading Defence companies based in Glascoed.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role you will be a buyer/senior buyer with a track record of developing, implementing & managing procurement strategies, ideally relating to Plant & Equipment projects.
Skills Required:
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – Priority & essential to success in the role
- Contract skills including contract negotiation
- Supplier Management
Experience Required:
- Experience working in a similar position or a related degree
- Experience within construction and/or plant & equipment categories
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing & engineering processes
- Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met
- Experience with Word and Excel software
- Comfortable in a fast paced commercial environment
