Working as part of a small and collaborative team, you will combine your accounting expertise with responsibility for a range of projects focused on process improvement, systems, automation and the effective use of AI.

The role is based near the Somerset/Dorset border, with hybrid working available following an initial training and probationary period.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements, VAT returns and audit information.
- Providing management-level review of financial information across a number of entities.
- Maintaining accurate investment information and developing efficient systems for the management of financial and corporate records.
- Supporting company secretarial and corporate governance requirements, including statutory filings and maintenance of company records.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance and compliance processes through automation, technology and AI.
- Leading projects from initial concept through to implementation, including project planning, system specifications, testing and user adoption.
- Working with software providers and internal stakeholders to implement new systems and improvements.
- Acting as the internal champion for AI, identifying practical and secure ways in which it can improve efficiency, reporting and knowledge management.
- Supporting and training colleagues in the effective use of new systems, technology and processes.
- Driving a continuous programme of process and efficiency improvements across the organisation.
About You
You are looking for a qualified accountant with at least three years' relevant experience who is looking for a role where they can make a real difference. Youβll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience of improving finance processes, systems or ways of working.
- A genuine interest in technology, automation and AI, with the confidence to explore how these can be applied practically within a finance environment.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, management and external providers.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and a desire to continually improve processes.
You don't need to be an IT specialist, we are looking for an accountant first and foremost, who is curious about technology and enjoys finding better ways of working.
