Who We’re Looking For:
Jam Press is looking for curious, creative and social-media-savvy content licensing executives to join our Discovery Team.
We want someone with a real passion for finding viral videos, trending stories and eye-catching moments on social media. You don’t need years of newsroom experience. What matters most is your ability to spot content that gets people talking and know what makes a post go viral.
If you’re obsessed with TikTok trends, can scroll through Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or X (Twitter) with purpose, and love discovering hidden gems before everyone else does,then this could be the perfect first step in your media career.
Excellent communication skills are key.
You’ll need to write clearly, confidently approach people online or over the phone, and work collaboratively with editors and the rest of our small but fast-moving team.
About The Role:
You’ll find and license newsworthy and viral content from across the world, particularly in the UK and US, working closely with our experienced editors.
Every day is different — one minute you might be tracking down a TikTok creator with a viral prank, and the next you’re verifying a breaking story or writing copy for social media.
You Will:
- Keep your finger on the pulse of social media trends and emerging platforms
- Constantly search for viral videos, trending stories and under-the-radar content that fits Jam Press’s tone and style
- Pitch and chase stories daily across a wide range of topics
- Verify information, contact and interview case studies and license content
- Communicate clearly and professionally with content creators and contributors
- Work with editors to ensure our stories are accurate, engaging, and fast to publish
- Contribute ideas for improving how we find and present content
- Occasionally help post and engage on Jam Press’s social media channels
What We\’re Looking For:
- A strong understanding of how and why content goes viral
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using major social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat)
- A natural curiosity about people and stories
- Self-motivation, multitasking ability and a proactive mindset
- Basic media law knowledge (a plus, not a must)
You don’t need newsroom experience, we\’ll provide full training. What we care about is your instinct for viral content, your drive to learn and your love of storytelling.
